Modern space behind a heritage facade

Fitzroy House

By consolidating two small, Victorian terraces into a single residence, this sympathetic yet contemporary response to the client’s brief allows the new house to adapt to the changing needs of new occupants.

Care has been taken to minimize the visual bulk and amenity impacts to adjoining properties. Taking cues from the historic streetscape, the new additions are clad in recycled brickwork, providing a texture and a warmth that is consistent with the original built fabric.
