MAA is led by Principal Karen Alcock. Recognised for her commitment to innovative architecture, professional practice and environmental sustainability. Karen is joined by a diverse and talented team that includes architects and interior designers.

Principal, FRAIA (BArch, UMelb)
Karen established MAA in 2008 after 10 years working as a director of Neometro Architects. Karen is passionate about the importance of architecture in creating liveable spaces that people want to live, work and play in.
Karen places a strong emphasis on the critical role of design in architectural practice, in addition to a strong design focus, Karen also brings to the practice strengths in project delivery and practice management.
Karen is actively involved in promoting the importance of design and architecture in the community. Karen was made a fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects in 2016. She is currently on the Victorian Design Review Panel of the Office of the Victorian Government Architect (OVGA). Karen is also a board member of the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV).
Karen is currently a registered Architect in Tasmania and New South Wales.
Associate Director (MArch, Deakin)
Rachael joined MAA in 2016. She is a talented all-rounder and project leader who has worked on a number of larger projects and brings to MAA proven managerial and project delivery skills.
